     Esta Semana Santa he estado haciendo un minicurso de construcción de chales. Cuando vi por Instagram que Frenchie de Aroha Knits estaba organizando un reto para tejer cinco minichales en cinco días no tenía claro si el curso era para mí o no: ¿podría seguirlo o sería muy avanzado? ¿tendría tiempo o estaría muy liada? 

     Al final me decidí a apuntarme y estoy realmente contenta de haberlo hecho. He aprendido un montón de cosas: el principio "garter tab" en condiciones, un cierre más elástico que el que yo hacía, la importancia de el cierre que hayas elegido a la hora de bloquear, he hecho mi primer cierre usando un ganchillo, me he peleado con las agujas de doble punta y he conseguido vencerlas,... Y, sobre todo, ver crecer los chales en mis manos usando unas reglas matemáticas tan sencillas para mí ha sido prácticamente magia.

    This Easter I've been doing a mini-course to learn how a shawl is built. When I saw on Instagram that Frenchie from Aroha Knits was organizing a challenge to knit five mini shawls in five days I wasn't sure if I would be able to follow it: would it be too advenced? would I have time for it?

     In the end I decided to join and it's been a great decision. I've learnt a lot of things: how to do a garter tab cast on properly, a stretchier bind off (and why it is important), my first crochet bind off ever, a fight against dpns that I won,... And above all, seeing the shawls growing on my hands following just a few simple maths rules was almost magic for me.

     So thanks again Frenchie for such a wonderful event!
